Explore this exclusive spot within the Iberá Wetlands in Argentina

Uguay is one of the gateways to the Iberá Wetlands and is built within the Guasú-kua private reserve, which in Guaraní means “refuge of the deer”.

The reserve consists of 60 hectares of native forest, grassland and wetlands coast. A large network of trails enters the forest and crosses natural grassland areas. From a high lookout you can see the horizon and see how the “pirizal” extends to bathe in the Fernández Lake, located in the Iberá Park, which can be accessed through our exclusive channel.

The lodge staff is ready to share with guests their knowledge of the area along with their traditional cooking recipes.

From Posada Uguay one can explore various natural environments that make up the wetlands: vast floating islands made of aquatic vegetation, peat and flooded weeds, beautiful Caranday palm groves, red thatching-straw grasslands, savannahs, thorn forests, and gallery forests. This diversity creates different habitats for a wide variety of fauna and flora.

Our lodge is located in Uguay, a remote spot in the Ibera Wetlands, Corrientes Province, Argentina. Near 20 families inhabit this traditional area that has privileged access to Iberá National Park.
